When we read Scripture, especially across both the Old and New Testaments, we see references to the wrath of God. But what does that really mean?
At the same time, the New Testament reveals something powerful, God is love. And this love is not just a statement; it is demonstrated through action. God showed His love by sending His Son. He died, was buried, and rose again. That is the clearest expression of God’s heart toward humanity.
Even more profound is this: that love was demonstrated while we were still sinners.
We had all gone astray, each to our own way, but the full weight and consequence of sin was laid upon Him to bring us back.
So how do we understand this together?
If God is love, what then is His wrath?
What does God actually do about sin—both in the life of the believer and the unbeliever?
Let's study together as we carefully walk through these questions, helping us see clearly, and be grounded in the truth of God’s nature: His justice, His love, and His finished work in Christ.
Jesus is our Christ and Lord.
